In a significantly improved outcome compared with last year's clearance, 13 buyers in the White Suffolk section took 48 to $1200 averaging $771. This was 16 more than sold last year.
Landmark Tintinara's Brenton Jones operated for four clients not able to attend, including Munro Nominees. Munro won the free ram from the draft that Galaxy Park principals, the Gale family, donated to the breeder of the highest-price prime lambs sired by rams purchased at this sale previously. Munro Nominees sold 190 suckers at $137.
Daryl Traeger, Lameroo, went to the sale high of $1200, and $1000 in selecting the two highest-performance rams in this high-quality draft, these having Carcase Plus indices of 196.51 and 200.16 respectively.
Galaxy Park regulars, Alec and David Beggs put the heat on early, taking seven to $1150, including the ram with the highest Pemd EBV of 2.17. Alastair Johnson, Mount Boothby Pastoral, was the biggest buyer, selecting 10 rams from $600 to $1050.
