Van Leuven L’Artisan Bakery Patisserie has brought a touch of France to the South East. Acclaimed French artisan baker Jason Van Leuven and wife Sylvie returned to Jason’s home town of Naracoorte to raise their daughter. They opened a shop four years ago and added a second shop in Penola in 2014.

This festive season has been busy for them with their scrumptious gingerbread Christmas trees and houses, and mince pies. “Christmas is a special time for children. It is terrific to see their smiles and how their eyes light up when they see the gingerbread trees in the window,” Sylvie said.
In the first couple of weeks of December their Christmas orders have already surpassed 2014. “It is our busiest time of year except chocolate eggs at Easter,” she said.
