STEERS sold to $1700 at Mount Pleasant market last Thursday, for a huge three-year-old Murray Grey from V Mackri, via Mt Pleasant.

GD Wicks, Mt Torrens, also sold one Murray Grey steer at $1400, and another three at $1350; while RD Andrews, Springton, sold one Poll Hereford steer at $1320. Rod Francis, Mt Torrens, sold 12 Angus steers at $1200, and another 12 at $1080.
Store heifers sold to $1200 for a Poll Hereford from John Chambers, Birdwood.
Best heifer vealers made up to $900, for RE Waechter for a Murray Grey, while the best cow price was $1600 for a Poll Hereford from Tom Frossinakis, Birdwood.
In the sheep sale, best first-cross lambs sold from $110 to a top of $139.
The tops from the Rogers family, Clarendon, were 26 Suffolk-cross sold to JBS. The Fry Brothers, Forrest Range, sold 43 White Suffolk-cross lambs at $135, while Rossini, Wistow, sold 19 Dorset-cross at $135, both went to TFI.
Best store lambs sold from $60 to $90, for 13 Suffolk-cross from LJ&LJ Rowley, Myponga, who also sold 47 trade lambs at $110.
Hoggets sold to $90 for nine White Suffolk-cross from RL Scott, while mutton sold to $80. Best ewes made $78, for 14 6yo Dohne-crosses from JF&MA Teusner, Eden Valley, who sold another 48 at $72.
The last sale for the year is December 17.
