Mr Watson recently sold his Furner property, and dispersed his cattle herd on Friday, returning a top of $1580 for nine EU-accredited Woonallee-blood Simmental-Angus steers 12-14 months, 483kg, at $1580 or $3.27/kg.

A RECORD was set at the Mount Gambier saleyards on Friday, with steers making a massive $4.36 a kilogram.
