CARAWAH Brahman stud will take another swing at selling at Gold City this year.
Started by Neil Harling at Springsure in 1971, the stud sold bulls at Gold City for the first time last year.
Having sold bulls at Rockhampton in the late 70s, Neil moved to paddock sales.
However, when son Travis came on board four or five years ago, Carawah returned to the ring.
“He showed a big interest in returning to the saleyard,” Neil said.
Carawah sold two bulls at Brahman Week this year.
“We will have six bulls for sale at Gold City this year, all by the same sire as the bulls sold at Brahman Week,” Neil said.
“With this sire we have been given bigger cattle with more growth.
“I’m not expecting the same result, they are different buyers and because it is so dry. If we sell all the bulls I’d be happy.”
