Friendships were formed among young sheep enthusiasts, across all parts of the state and even interstate.
There were 121 entrants in the SA Sheep Expo, held Wednesday, April 17 to Friday, April 19 at the Adelaide Showground, with them coming from SA, NSW, Vic and even Tas.
During the three days, the entrants, all under 25, had the chance to interact and learn from industry leaders.
The theme for this year's event was lambs and technology, with many of the sessions dedicated to these topics.
They also had the chance to compete in the junior handlers and junior judging competitions.
The SA Sheep Expo culminated with the presentation of key awards, including a number of scholarships and the big prize of the award of excellence, which comes with a $4500 bursary towards a study tour of New Zealand.
The entrants also got to hear from last year's big winner, Caitlin Flanagan-Organ, about her trip.
