Young beef enthusiasts from across Australia developed their skills and made new friends at the SA Junior Heifer Expo at the Adelaide Showgrounds this week.
One hundred and ninety seven entrants – one of the largest numbers in the event’s 34-year history – enjoyed four days of educational lectures, junior judging and parading.
Twenty-three year old Murray Grey breeder Annika Whale, Glen William, NSW, won the prestigious senior champion herdsman award which includes a three-month study tour of North America.
