A big yarding plus a massive crowd resulted in strong prices at the Jamestown feature ewe sale last week.
Elders’ Jack Coleman said many people commented it was one of the biggest crowds ever seen at the saleyard, with strong SA support, as well as buyers from Vic.
Mr Coleman said the strength of the market was in line with expectations, with client feedback showing they were “very happy” with the results.
Landmark’s Shannon Jaescke said the strong results showed the demand for breeding ewes, following good rains through most of Australia. He said the sheep presented in good order.
