Let’s Look Back continues its exploration of 2001 this week with samples of a North Queenslander Series and some Little Reggies for our readers.
Bernie Moloney (pictured) spent the better part of 25 years breaking in horses and ringing on Gulf cattle properties before a stint as a property salesman for Primac Elders in Winton.
But in 1990, Bernie found his real passion in a Ray Hunt book and clinic on horse psychology.
After that, he found himself a place to work for himself – the Wonga Beach Equestrian Centre, just up the road from Port Douglas.
With years of experience in the Gulf working for David Hughes, Bernie had plenty of yarns to share in 2001.
That same year, the Register printed a plethora of photographs of young North Queenslanders who are now in their late teens and early twenties.
Revisit both Bernie and the Little Reggies of 2001 in today's edition of The North Queensland Register.
