IT was a clean sweep for the Holstein breed in the Royal Adelaide Show interbreed competition of the dairy.
Holstein cows claimed all three supreme champion female titles - junior, intermediate and senior, as well as the group of three and group of five.
In the junior competition Edge Braxton Cassy, Edge Holsteins, Victor Harbor, took the prize by one point, just ahead of Ayreshire entrant Enterprise Double Whammy Rose 2nd, exhibited by MJ & LR Hentschke, Glencoe.
In making his decision interbreed judge Anthony Norman, Robertson NSW, described the Holstein heifer as showing great power and strength.
In the intermediate section, the 2.5 year old Blackwood Park Explode Fea 6823, shown by the Altmann Family, Murray Bridge, gained the judges approval with all eligible judges placing her in first place.
Judge Lisa Broad, Lockington Victoria, described the cow as "outstanding" saying she showed great height and weight with a nice rear udder.
Senior champion cow also went to the Holsteins with Glenorleigh Lheros Maree taking the title, exhibited by Rob Walmsley and Bec Hehir of Murray Bridge.
Interbreed judge Michael Eagles, Moto, NSW said he could not go past this cow.
"I found her difficult to fault at all," he said.
