
IT has been a somewhat mixed season for lambs across Australia this year.
On the East Coast, where persistent rain has fallen, as well as floods and wild winds, marking and scanning percentages have taken a hit, resulting in less lambs on ground.

This is likely to also translate to the saleyards in the coming months, with delays expected for sucker lamb arrivals.

But in SA, the situation has been more positive, with some regions experiencing some of their best-ever results.
There are reports of regions 5 per cent to 10pc above their average, with cases of even 20pc higher, driven by varying causes.
