
With the traditional Anzac Day start to the sowing season upon us in SA, fortunes are mixed across the different areas.
There are some that will have very good subsoil moisture profiles, while others have missed out on falls since the start of the year.

In the usually reliable South East, a significant dry spell has put pressure on those seeding for feed.
It has also created issues with weed controls, as many of the weeds are too stressed to draw in chemicals, says Elders Mount Gambier agronomist Aimee Kilpatrick.
However, in other parts of the state, good rainfalls earlier this week have made a big difference to the germination prospects.
