In the month of July in 2009, it was a year of great political debate and many flashy events to celebrate the plethora of organisations that make the country wonderful.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service held a women's auxiliary dinner at Broken Hill that attracted hundreds of guests. Jamestown also held a night out for its community and the Alice Springs Show attracted many SA studs to the showring.

But the month of July also generated big discussions about cuts to youth allowance for rural school leavers and rate rises that hit the pocket hard of many farmers, forcing many into uncomfortable territory.
