CATTLE numbers at Mount Pleasant saw an increase at the fortnightly sale this week, with prices also making a jump from the last market, while a slight dip in sheep and lamb yardings saw prices take a minimal drop.
Steers reached $2740, with a Brahman/Murray Grey cross from Richard Ramsey, Kersbrook, topping the sale, while two Murray Greys from AG&BA Loffler, Mannum, were knocked down at $2560.

PA&FT Frahn, Mannum, offered two Black Baldy steers which were sold at $2420, with two Angus steers from CA Paech, Tepko, sold at the same price.
A further two Murray Greys from PA&FT Frahn, Mannum, were sold at $2400.
One Angus cow from CA Paech, Tepko, was the pick of the day, selling for an impressive $2940.
In the heifers, one Hereford/Red Poll cross from CM Bond & LA Riemelmoser, Walker Flat, topped the section at $2420, with two more from the vendor reaching $2060 and a further two Black Baldy heifers knocked down at the same price.
MF&LF Seelander, Angaston, sold one Murray Grey for $2300, while Bill Gilkes, Mannum, sold two Black Baldy heifers for $2100.
An Angus bull from Springfield Park, Springton, was knocked down at $2880, while a Murray Grey cow and calf unit from M&GLR Kochan, Lobethal, sold for $1780.

M&T Saegenschnitter, Nuriootpa, topped the market the lamb market, with 23 for $220 per head, while SN&CA Paech, Callington, and DW Kubenk & Sons, Tepko, sold 14 and 31 respectively at $210.
A pen of 10 from RH Rathjen&Co, Millendella, sold for $206 with SJ&JJ Klose's offering of six sold for $200 per head.
In the hoggets, EJ&BR Ferguson, Eden Valley, at $160 for three, while KA McGorman, Mount Pleasant, sold five at $155.
EJ&BR Ferguson, Eden Valley, also sold four wethers at $150 per head, and a further 19 for $110.
Michael Kennedy, Birdwood, and Alison Toft, Monarto, also sold wethers at $110, with two and six on offer respectively.
Ewes and rams both topped the market at $130 from EM Olson, Geranium, and AE&EH Gordon, Williamstown respectively, while four sheep from KA McGorman, Mount Pleasant, were knocked down at $125.
