Federal Member for Barker Tony Pasin said the federal government was backing the aviation industry as well as boosting local economies to help secure a stronger future for regional communities.
"This $29m funding injection will deliver vital upgrades and improvements to keep regional airports and aerodromes operating at their full capacity, boosting tourism, improving fire fighting capacities and keeping locals and visitors moving," he said.
"I am proud to see we are delivering more funding through an additional round to ensure our regions are better and more safely connected.
"This funding supports important works, including runway resurfacing, drainage works, lighting upgrades and fencing.

"Airports across Barker have already benefitted from funding under previous rounds of the RAP, including Mount Gambier, Kingston, Renmark, Meningie and Murray Bridge Airports.
"I encourage airports and aerodromes in Barker to consider applying for funding that will make a real difference for their operations, their workers and our communities."
Mr Pasin said every dollar spent on a local infrastructure project was a dollar well spent.
Under the $100m Regional Airports Program, the government has already committed nearly $71m toward 150 projects nationwide.
Applications close 17 May 2022.
