In the month of July in 1973, the state held a fair few big industry events. A Merino stud tour, dairy conference, Yorke Peninsula field days and a pork competition that attracted entrants from across the country.
The Alice Springs Show was also covered in the pages of the Stock Journal that year.
The Gepps Cross saleyard also featured heavily, as the sheep industry enjoyed some pretty solid prices.
