The sun was shining for a top sale day for yesterdays' beef breeders and weaners annual cattle sale which yarded 400 head at Mount Pleasant.
Topping the sale was a pen offered by Hearnden Farms, Keyneton six first trimester pregnancy-tested-in-calf black Limousin-cross cows with six calves-at-foot at $3200 to Laidley Pastoral, Mount Crawford.
GD Wicks & Son, Mount Torrens, offered three PTIC - by a Murray Grey bull - Murray Grey cows with three CAF which sold at $3000.
Making the same price was a Hearnden Farms black Limousin bull.
A pen of six Angus-cross cows PTIC to a Angus bull from S&O Richardson, Mount Pleasant, made $2950, the same vendor offered seven Murray Grey-cross cows PTIC which sold at $2800.

Making $2500 was a Angus cow with CAF that had been running with a bull from G&P Noblet, Magill.
A pen of PTIC Angus cows with CAF fetched $2500.
A Dahlenberg sold six PTIC Murray Grey heifers which topped the heifer offering when they made $2250.
The highest price made in the steer offering was $2300 for two 309-kilogram Angus steers offered by S&O Richardson, Mount Pleasant, while a pen of eight Murray Grey 335-kilogram steer offered by RS&JF Watkins, made $2200.
Nutrien Fawcett Livestock's Ashley Fawcett said selling females, cows with CAF and PTIC cows and heifers were a bit tough.
"We lacked breeder buyers," Mr Fawcett said.
"Younger steers and heifers were still fetching really good prices and in demand."
