MOUNT PLEASANT
Yarding: 1052 sheep and lambs, 59 cattle
Lambs to $256
Steers to $2680
PRICES were strong at the Mount Pleasant market on Thursday last week, with processors and smaller butchers pushing bids up during the sale, according to Nutrien Mount Pleasant livestock agent Ashley Fawcett.
"We has a good run of good heavy lambs to go to the processors, which brought good prices, demand and competition," he said. "Some of our top lambs went for around the $250 mark, which is slightly above the average at the moment I would say."

He said numbers across lamb and mutton were up, while yarding for cattle was down for the week, but prices were still solid.
