THIS week, election campaigns kicked off, as the government headed into caretaker mode.
On Saturday, Steven Marshall launched the Liberal Party's campaign spruiking defence jobs, while on Sunday, Peter Malinauskas launched Labor's 2022 campaign by saying they would fix SA's public health system.
Let's hope these promises start extending beyond the city boundary - country hospitals, roads and the ag worker shortage also need attention.
It was good to see the state government manage to squeeze in an announcement of extra funding to EP councils, on top of federal funding announced last week, to help fix the roads after recent devastating storms.
