Limousin bulls sold to a $11,000 top with a total clearance of six bulls, with a $7333 average.
The first Angus bull under the hammer at the $13,000 top price was Maryvale Robe R162 that sold to first-time buyers at the stud, Tatiara Pastoral, Meningie.
Sired by Sydgen Enhance and out of a Millah Murrah K224, it weighed 591 kilograms with a 37.5 centimetre scrotal circumference and was recognised for its estimated breeding value of +21 docility.
Tatiara secured two further bulls, averaging $11,333.
Barry and Tricia McClure were pleased with MV Robe's low birth weight and fertility figures.
"We like the way Maryvale raise their cattle. All the bulls carry good bloodlines which suits us because we use a range of stud genetics across the program," Mr McClure said.
"Temperament has always been a focus."
All of the bulls secured by the McClures will be used in an artificial insemination program in a few weeks time and put over Angus heifers.
An AuctionsPlus bidder selected the next Angus bull to make $13,000, MV River R168. A 574kg bull sired by Millah Murrah Paratroooper P15, it had a 35cm scrotal circumference and +21 docility.
Angus MV Relax R175 also made $13,000 and sold to RD Fuller, Eden Valley.
It was sired by Glenoch-JK Makahu M602 and weighed 532kg, with a 37cm scrotal circumference.
Stud principal Matt Vogt was happy with the sale.
"We sold a lot of bulls earlier this year - clients knew what they were looking for and got in quickly."
Balowery Pastoral Company, Erith, took home the final Angus bull, to make $13,000, MV Ringer 169.
Also sired by Glenoch-JK Makahu M602, it weighed 504kg with a 35cm scrotal circumference and had +9 for docility. They bought a further two bulls, averaging $9666.
The Limousin $11,000 top price bull, MV Redrock R108, was sold to Weeden Pastoral through Elders Mount Gambier.
In the female section, seven Limousin females were offered and sold to a top of $5000, averaging $3714.
