This week we jump back 28 years ago to January 1994, when the cropping industry neared the end of the 1993-94 harvest season, producers competed at the State Bank SA Carcase Competition and wool growers looked to the second half of the selling season for a lift in price.
Despite a short growing season, croppers were pleased with their yields, the country's feed grain usage was set to reach record highs and beef producers across the state readied themselves for the SA Stud Beef Field Days.
