There were plenty of interstate visitors, as well as locals, keen to check out the latest genetics of many Lower South East studs on Day three of Stock Journal Beef Week.
In the busiest day of the event, 21 studs were open from Casterton, Vic across to Reedy Creek and as far north as Frances, showcasing their upcoming auction catalogues and bulls available for private sale.
A couple of online auctions kicked off today at JB Angus, Stewart Range and Yerwal Estate and Mt Mooney Simmentals, with bids already received.
There are 50 studs representing 12 different breeds participating in 2022 Beef Week across four days.
Tomorrow the attention will turn to the Upper South East for the final day of the event.
Studs will be open from 9am until 5pm for inspections.
