IN the first sale back for the year at Mount Pleasant, there was relatively strong demand for the mixed quality yarding, despite concerns about the impact of COVID restrictions on meat buyers.
Crossbred lambs sold to $218 for 15 head from AG&BA Loffler, Mannum, while RC&LK Reichelt, Tarnma, sold three at $210.
Hearnden Farm, Keyneton, sold a larger line of 20 crossbred lambs at $205; while Springfield Park, Springton, sold 13 at $204.
Dopen, Rockleigh, sold six crossbred lambs at $204, while RM&TE Hein, Burdett, sold 10 at $204.
Topping the hogget section were AJ Cooper Nominees, Langhorne Creek, with six head at $170, while H Persic, Angaston, sold seven at $150 and another 12 at $125.
P&H Foletta, Mount Pleasant, had a few offerings, including the sale-topping seven wethers at $140, plus another five at $130 and six at $85. They also sold one hogget at $145 and seven at $140, plus 12 ewes at $120.
Ewes reached a top of $161 for 15 from E Sargent, Nairne, while Adelaide Hills Farm Barn, Hahndorf, sold 21 at $160.

Quite a small yarding of cattle was offered, with steers reaching $2280 for one black baldy from C Sullivan, Highgate, who also sold another at $2200, and another two at $2180.
AG&BA Loffler sold two Murray Grey steers at $2220, while Bellaratta Pastoral Co, Springton, sold four Poll Hereford steers at $2200.
Heifers sold to $1560 for three Murray Greys from RE&RE Waechter, Moculta, who sold another at $1300 and a Santa Gertrudis cow and calf unit at $1620, while cows sold to $1800 for a Poll Hereford from SO Richardson, Mount Pleasant, who sold another two at $1600.
