THIS week's Flashback Friday heads back to the October 1991 editions of Stock Journal, when graingrowers were having one of the "best seasons in decades".
It boosted attendance at the Yorke Peninsula Field Days, where more than 50,000 people turned out - the largest crowd in the event's 97-year history.
Things were not so rosy for the North East pastoral country, which was in drought after only receiving an inch for the year in parts, while beef prices were also awful due to US import restrictions, which the National Farmers' Federation created a petition about and the Stock Journal published it for farmers to sign.
