Rural people are always full of innovation and new ideas, and creativity certainly doesn't wane when it comes to Christmas decorations either.
There is evidence of festive cheer right across SA, with residents turning hay bales and old tyres into Christmas scenes along the roadside and in paddocks, while some displays adorn fences and houses.
All have attracted a photo or two, from tourists and travellers passing by.
The attractive displays complement the vast array of Christmas pageants and parades which have been held in rural towns across the state, and are in addition to well-known light displays in Loxton and Lobethal, among others.
These photographs were taken by various Stock Journal journalists during their travels.
