The search is on for projects that could benefit the local sheep industry.
SA Sheep Industry Fund chair Ian Rowett, Marrabel, is urging anyone with a project for the 2022-23 funding year to get in touch with Livestock SA before the SIF Board meeting on December 15.
He said contributions to the SIF increased by about 13 per cent last financial year on the back of higher sheep sale transactions across the state.
"This means that the fund has more resources to complete projects that meet its investment priorities,' he said.
"We're looking for projects of all shapes and sizes that have one thing in common: they benefit the local sheep industry."
Sheep and Cattle Industry Funds executive officer Tom Cosentino said he was looking forward to constructive projects being put forward.

"It's an exciting time to be involved in our industries and we're very keen to see projects that reflect that," he said.
One major project supported by the sheep industry is the Dog Fence Rebuild, with 12 cents from every sheep sale being put towards its rollout.
As of November 12, 341 kilometres of the dog fence has been completed, with 405km is underway and a further 278km of rebuild procurement occurring.
The SIF also contributes to the Footrot Management Program, research into the benefits of melatonin implants in ewes and predator control programs as well as sponsoring the annual Sheep Expo.
