LAMBS ranged from firm to $30 cheaper, depending on quality, at the Ouyen Livestock Exchange in Vic.

Export lambs experienced the hit a little harder than trade, with new season export prices ranging from $226 to @259 - or $8.30 a kilogram to $8.90/kg - while trade lambs were $178-$208 or $8.30-$9kg. Store lambs sold from $128-$188.

Older lambs sold from $188-$256 ($7.80-$8.80/kg) for exports and $153-$186 for trade.

Merino sucker lambs sold from $166-$200 for the heavier offering and $110-$162 for those lighter.

Lambs made up the bulk of the yarding with 10,327 but there was also 2132 mutton on offer.

Light mutton was up to $15 cheaper at $115-$149, while the heavier end was up to $30 cheaper at $166-$200.

HJ&PD Ferguson, Walpeup, Vic, had a run of 142 crossbred sucker lambs, which made the sale top price at $259.

KD Pfeiffer, Coonalpyn, sold 135 at $255.

IB&S McVicar, Underbool, Vic, had 29 make $245 while 198 from Hannig/Ferguson, Walpeup sold at $244.

MUT, Tempy, Vic, offered 55 crossbred sucks, which made $236; W Schultz, Mittyack, Vic, had 56 make $234 and M&A McLean, Patchewollock, sold 59 at $230.

There were several runs of Dorper sucker lambs with the best of these a run of 80 from Harrison & Sons, Broken Hill, NSW, which made $230.

Flagstaff Farms, Merrinee, Vic, sold 63 at $222.

P&J Rundle, Lameroo, had 73 make 200, while Tom's Vineyard, Red Cliffs, Vic, sold 31 at $198 and Glen Ora Pastoral, Darnick, NSW, made $196 for 29.

A run of 48 Merino sucker lambs from MV Curtis, Wargan, Vic, made $180.

In the older crossbred lambs, IK&EA McNabb, Carwarp, Vic, sold 79 at $256.

The best of the mutton offering was $200 paid for 47 from HJ&PD Ferguson. Hannig/Ferguson had 54 make $198, while J Hahnel Nominees, Timberoo, Vic, had the same price paid for 59.

IB&S McVicar sold 53 at $196.
