New-season lambs to $290
Mutton to $230
NEW-SEASON lambs sold firm to $5 dearer when compared to past markets and prices held strong throughout the Ouyen, Vic, market on Thursday last week.
New-season export lambs sold from $240 to $280, reaching $9.40 a kilogram, while trade types made $185-$250 ($9-$9.60/kg), slighter dearer than recent returns and stores sold from $120-$170.
P&P Wisneske, Underbool, Vic, sold 76 new-season lambs at $290.
DJ Dutshke, Karoonda, had 92 at $287 and prices continued to hold firm with W. Shultz, Mittyack, 54 at $284, while Latta Farms, Walpeup, Vic, had 58 at $278.
Zac Symes, Merrinee, Vic, made $272 for 38 and M&A McLean Family Trust, Patchewollock, Vic, 67 at $270.
B&C O'Callaghan, Ouyen, Vic, 63 at $268 and M&J Lonergan, Kiamal, Vic, 60 at $268.
Lone Pine Pastoral, Sea Lake, Vic, 39 at $262 and F. Stone, Torrita, 25 at $260.
IW&JK Marshall, Ouyen, 20 at $251.
Older crossbred lambs were $5-$20 cheaper, with export types making $260-$300 ($8-$8.50/kg), while older trade lambs made $185-$250 ($9-$9.60/kg).
Zac Symes, Merrinee, Vic, sold 27 older crossbred lambs at $300 and Calum Winslow ,Underbool, Vic, sold 21 at $264.
Merino older lambs made to $260 for 82 from Richwood, Nowingi, Vic.
Mutton was firm to $10 cheaper. Heavy mutton sold from $186-$230 ($5.50-$6/kg), while light lots made $123-$150 ($5.50-$6.50/kg).
D&G Gairns, Pirlta, Vic, sold 32 at $230 and Erhardt Partners, Galah, Vic, sold 24 at $224.
G.Crane, Murrayville, Vic, had 43 at $204 and D&K Crane, Murrayville, Vic, 33 at $200, while M&D Waechter, Nildottie, Vic, 29 at $200.
