FRESH new season lambs sold similar rates, while dry secondary NSLs sold to weaker competition than the previous sale, to be $10-$20 cheaper at the Ouyen Livestock Exchange on Thursday.
Overall, 15,998 lambs and 2942 mutton were yarded, totalling 18,940 - about 1300 head fewer than a fortnight ago.
Export NSLs sold from $240-$290 or $9.20 a kilogram to $9.80/kg; trade types made $180-$240 ($9.30-$9.70/kg); while stores/lighter lots fetched $103-$178.
DL&JF Dutschke, Karoonda, sold the top NSLs with 77 making $290 a head.
L&R Stone, Torrita, Vic, sold 111 NSLs at $277, while Brown Farms, Underbool, Vic, sold 58 at $276.
Fe Pole, Torrita, sold 25 NSLs at $263, while N&B Templeton, Chinkapook, sold 64 at $260.
EM McLean Family Trust, Patchewollock, sold 66 crossbred sucker lambs at $300, while F Stone, Torrita, sold 30 at $295.
Kulwin Ag, Kulwin, Vic, sold 57 crossbred lambs at $291, plus 95 mutton at $239.
J&R Morrish, Tiega, Vic, sold 104 crossbred lambs at $285; GW Pickering, Kulwin, sold 95 at $281; while G&P Burns, Tempy sold 60 at $278.

Hoggets sold to $260 for 75 from Meilman Pastoral, Euston, NSW, while JR&EL Hogg, Loxton, sold 39 at $250.
Heavy mutton was $5 to $10 dearer, making $169-$240 ($6.10-$6.50/kg), while light mutton sold firm to $20 easier - $112-$168 ($6-$6.50/kg).
P&S Byrne, Wentworth, NSW, sold 26 mutton at $240, while Erhardt Partners, Galah, Vic, sold 53 at $236.
Glen Ewan Station, Balranald, NSW, sold 73 mutton at $230, while Hillview, Wanbi, sold 37 at $230.
Dorper lambs were also offered, with heavies selling to $184, while lighter types made $193-$244.
H&F Cullinan, Wentworth, sold 26 Dorpers at $245, while Court Nareen, Pooncarie, NSW, sold 65 at $244.
MGN Gibbin, Galah, sold 25 Dorpers at $235, as did Moorara Pastoral, Pooncarie, with 69 at $235.
