
CROSSBRED and Merino lambs and heavy mutton were up to $8 dearer at the Ouyen Livestock Exchange in Vic on Thursday, while light mutton held firm.
There was 9768 lambs and 3416 mutton yarded, totalling 13,184 head.
Export lambs sold from $230 to $314, or $8.10 a kilogram to $9/kg; trade weights made $166-$240 ($8-$9.60/kg); while store lambs received $105-$180.
MG Lynch, Morkalla, Vic, sold 64 crossbred lambs at the $314 top prices, plus 85 at $313 and 68 at $310.
Latta Girls, Walpeup, Vic, sold 20 crossbred lambs at $312, while Andersons of Bronzewing, Vic, sold 51 at $306.
Erhardt Partners, Galah, Vic, sold 36 crossbred lambs at $304, while Cureton Pastoral, Mildura, Vic, sold 51 at $289.
MUT, Tempy, VIc, sold 60 crossbred lambs at $288, while M Pohlner, Ouyen, Vic, sold 20 at $284, and G&P Burns, Tempy, sold 22 at $276.

Heavy Merinos sold from $200-$250 ($8-$8.50/kg), while light Merinos made $100-$196 ($8.20-$8.50/kg).
Clarke Bros, Ouyen, sold 120 Merino lambs at $250, as did MG Lynch with 66 at $250.
N&B Templeton, Chinkapook, Vic, sold 93 Merino lambs at $248, while Stony View Farms, Patchewollock, Vic, sold 58 at $246, and TG&EA Payne, Wynarka, sold 119 at $245.
Heavy mutton sold from $180-$263 ($6.70-$7.10/kg), while light mutton made $138-$188 ($7-$7.50/kg).
C&B Brown, Lameroo, sold 67 mutton at $263, while Landrigan Partnership, Hopetoun, Vic, sold 49 at $260.
Latta Girls, Walpeup, VIc, sold 20 mutton at $250, while Wegner Bros, Karoonda, sold 105 at $240, as did IK&EA McNabb, Carwarp, Vic, with 291 at 240.
Dorper lambs were also offered, with Tanany, Menindie, NSW, selling 73 at the top of $230.
F Dowdy, Nangiloc, Vic, sold 44 Dorper lambs at $215, as did PJ&JR Rundle, Lameroo, with 62 at $215; while Glen Esk, Wentworth, NSW, sold 20 at $207.
The next sale at Ouyen is on August 19.
