SHEEP breeders from across the state were pleased to attend the Karoonda & Districts Merino field day on Friday last week, after concern about whether or not the event could be held because of the statewide lockdown dampened the event's lead up.
But 14 studs set up at the Murray Bridge Showgrounds and participated in the field day, three more than last year, and showcased bloodlines from the Mallee, South East and Yorke Peninsula.
Although the field day was ran under restrictions, attendees enjoyed the opportunity to attend and field day secretary Ric Ridgway said he was glad the event got off the ground and gave breeders "something" after other field days were cancelled in SA and Vic.
