With the state's lockdown ending this week, organisers of the Karoonda & Districts Merino field day are pleased to let the public know that the event will still be going ahead from 10am to 3pm at the Murray Bridge Showground on Friday.
Field day secretary Ric Ridgway said the committee decided to "hang out and wait" until the lockdown finished. "We decided to not cancel as soon as the lockdown was announced.
"The field day operated under the same level of restrictions last year as we have as of Wednesday."
There are 14 studs participating, three more than last year, showcasing bloodlines from the Mallee, South East and Yorke Peninsula.
Attendees to the outdoor event will still be required to check-in, whether by QR code or signing, while masks are also recommended.
No food will be provided on the day due to remaining COVID restrictions.
