PRICES were strong across the board for sheep at the Ouyen Livestock Exchange yesterday.
Overall, 6279 lambs and 819 mutton were on offer, totalling 7098.
Export lambs were $10-$15 dearer, making $220-$292 or $7 a kilogram to $7.70/kg, while Trade lambs were firm to $10 dearer, attracting $163-$242 ($7.80-$8.90/kg).
Store lambs sold from $87-$179.
Westbrook Ag, sold the top crossbred lambs - 85 head at $292; another 24 at $290 and another 62 at $278.
R&P Henschke, Pirlta, sold 115 crossbred lambs at $284, while P&P Wisneske, Underbool, sold 61 at $278 and another 59 at $265.
Cureton Pastoral, Mildura, sold 55 crossbred lambs at $270, while MUT, Tempy, sold 68 at $270.
ERF, Torrita, sold 73 crossbred lambs at $268, while Brown Farms, Underbool, sold 134 at $265.
A&N Hulland, Patchewollock, sold 131 crossbred lambs at $264, while G&P Burns, Tempy, sold 28 at $260.

Heavy mutton was fully firm, making $190-$260 ($6.50-$6.80/kg), while light mutton was up to $5 cheaper, selling from $68-$188 ($6.70-$7.10/kg).
D&K Daniel, Pinnaroo, sold 48 mutton at $260, while C&S Jenzen, Pinnaroo, sold 43 at $258.
Lynch Ag, Underbool, sold 21 mutton at $240, while MV Curtis, Wargan, sold 20 at $238.
Heavy Merinos sold from $195-$243 ($7.50-$8.30/kg), while lighter types made $50-$200 ($7.90-$8.10/kg).
Stony View Farms, Patchewollock, sold 71 Merino lambs at $243; N&R Monaghan, Tempy, sold 47 at $236; while A&J Barnfield, Gol Gol, sold 100 at $233.
Dorper lambs were also offered, with MGN Gibbins, Galah, selling 28 at $220 and Serenity Holdings, Meringur, selling 46 at $203.
The next sale to be held at Ouyen Livestock Exchange is on July 22.
