When Colin Adler, from West Wyalong, listed his 41 scanned-in-lamb August 2020-drop Tattykeel Certified Australian White commercial ewes on AuctionsPlus on Tuesday, he put a reasonable reserve on them.
But he didn't expect to see them sell to a Condobolin prime lamb producer for $988.
"It is an extraordinary price," Mr Adler, who has been a Tattykeel client from the inception of the breed said.

Listing agent, Craig Pellow director QPL Temora, said it was a 'mind-blowing' result.
"This is the best price I have ever seen for commercial ewes, this is the new real," he said.
"They are very quality ewes and with the red Tattykeel Certified tag, their breeding is guaranteed."
The Tattykeel Australian White stud at Oberon recently launched the 'Tattykeel Certified' program to ensure clients have confidence in the genetic integrity of the sheep purchased.
Mr Pellow said the demand for quality red meat is unlimited and producers are looking to secure quality breeders to satisfy the expectations of consumers.
"This is not a fad, breeders are being rewarded for quality," he said.
