Stock Journal looks back to January 1990, when the Mount Compass saleyards opened, citrus producers were enjoying a leap in prices, the world's first cloned Merino lambs were at Emtech's Nairne property, and croppers were smiling about a near record harvest.
Thousands also flocked to Adelaide airport, where 61 water buffalo were boarded onto the (then) world's largest transport aircraft, bound for New Zealand. Thousands of people turned up to see the aircraft.
