After COVID-19 forced the cancellation of last year's SA Sheep Expo, organisers and participants alike are delighted that this year's event is up and running.
The three-day event at the Adelaide Showgrounds kicked off this morning (Wednesday), and has attracted more than 90 participants across the junior, intermediate and senior classes.
This year's participants are all from SA, after the organising committee made the decision to disallow interstate entrants in 2021, in case of any COVID-19 scares across the border prior to the event.

Acting chairman Brenton Lush said there was an air of excitement among participants, with a good mix of entrants from both urban and rural areas.
This year's event is focusing on ewes, and junior entrant Saje Keenan, Paracombe, said he was looking forward to improving his knowledge.
"I know a bit about rams, but I really want to learn a bit more about ewes," he said.
"I hope the expo will open up lots of new experiences and opportunities for me."
