Nominations have opened for the Jim McColl Ag Institute Australia Young Consultant Award, which seeks to honour young professionals making a difference in the agriculture industry.
The award, presented by the SA division of AIA, is named after Jim McColl, who passed away in 2013.
Specialising in a whole of farm approach, Dr McColl was one of the early pioneers of the private farm consulting movement.
The Jim McColl AIA Young Consultant Award recognises the achievements of young consultants, an area in which Dr McColl was passionate to assist in developing.
Nominees' demonstrated skills as a consultant, client involvement and contribution to their particular field of industry or regional activity will be taken into consideration.
The award is open to those aged 40 or younger, with at least five years consulting experience who are currently engaged in consulting. They can reside outside of SA but must be providing services to clients in SA.
AgriPartner Consulting's Hamish Dickson was the last recipient of the award, having been honoured for his contribution in 2018.
Nominations close on April 30.
