CROSSBRED lambs were $5 to $10 a head cheaper, while mutton held firm at the Ouyen Livestock Exchange, Vic, on Thursday.
Overall, 5792 lambs and 1418 mutton were offered, totalling 7210.
Crossbred lambs sold from $173-$261 or $7.20 a kilogram to $7.60/kg for export types; $155-$213 ($7.60- $8.40/kg) for trades; and $55-$152 ($6.80-$7.20/kg) for store stock.
The $261 tops were sold by Farley Vale, Copeville, who offered up 45 head, while T&S Monaghan, Tempy, Vic, sold 48 at $252.
Kulwin Ag, Kulwin, sold 104 crossbred lambs at $245 and another 40 at $229.
M Burns, Tempy, sold 81 crossbred lambs at $244, while RAC Props, Karoonda, sold 33 at $236.
K&A Hayter, Underbool, Vic, sold 112 crossbred lambs at $226, while K Grayling, Torrita, sold 25 at $225, and S&F Bennett, Werrimull, sold 31 at $220.
J Hahnel Nominees, Timberoo, Vic, sold 76 Merinos lambs at $225, while GMRJ Nominees, Meribah, sold 41 also at $225.

Tamaleuca, Ouyen, sold 17 Merino lambs at $207, while S Rooke, Karoonda, sold 86 at $195.
Light Merinos sold from $104-$152 ($6.80-$7.20/kg), while heavy mutton sold from $133-$211.
TGN&M Wyatt, Murrayville, Vic, sold 45 mutton at $240, while N&V Singh, Alawoona, sold 76 at $236.
A&S Lambert, Pooncarie, NSW, sold 20 mutton at $211, while J&N Cullinan, Wentworth, sold 43 also at $211.
Dorper lambs were also offered, with Standley Farms, Carina, selling 45 at $205 and LA&RL&LJ Harmer, Meringur, sold 33 at $204.
Prill Park, Euston, NSW, sold 37 Dorper lambs at $175, while J&N Cullinan sold 34 at $174.
The next scheduled sale will be after Easter on April 15, after which there will be an official unveiling of the new infrastructure upgrades at the saleyards.
