Field days, like many other facets of life, have faced major disruption in the past year.
While two major events in South Australia and Victoria remain cancelled this month, the industry is bouncing back with a strong virtual presence online.
The businesses behind the field days continue to produce and market their goods and services for the vibrant agricultural industry, which has operated successfully throughout the pandemic.
The South East Field Days, which attracts up to 25,000 people to Lucindale, SA, each March, is one of the highlights of the year for the Limestone Coast.
The 2021 event was called off last August. The event, which would have been in its 42nd year last year, was one of the first to be cancelled in 2020 due to the crisis.

"We cancelled a week just before it was about to start, so that was very disappointing," Lucindale Lions Club president Kevin Baker said.
"We cancelled before the exhibitors started coming, but a lot of the tents were up and the costs were already had, but if we didn't cancel I think the government would have cancelled for us."
Mr Baker said it was a difficult decision to cancel again, but with many patrons coming from across the border, it was for the best. The organisers have already turned their sights to next year.
"We certainly intend to be full up and running by 2022, which seems a long way away," he said.
"People will be glad to come back - a lot of the exhibitors are itching to get there so I am sure it will be back bigger and better."
For the first time in its 58-year history, Wimmera Machinery Field Days in Victoria - scheduled to be held earlier this month - was also cancelled last August.
Event manager Murray Wilson said sticking to the March 2 to 4 schedule presented "high risk and uncertainty".
"The COVID-19 pandemic will continue to have a significant impact on the major events industry," he said at the time. "We were looking forward to being the first major agricultural field days for 2021 coming off the back of what is looking to be yet another great farming season for the Wimmera."
Last September the pandemic also claimed the Riverland Field Days, Barmera, SA, with the committee cancelling for the first time in the event's 62-year history.
"We are disappointed to have to make the decision to cancel the field days this year," RFD chairman Ian Webber said. "We have not missed a year since the first field day in 1958. We will now focus on 2021 when we will be back - brighter and better on September 17 and 18."
