Mundulla Show -one of the first SA country shows for the year- was a great success with strongly supported livestock sections and record entries for the horses-in-action classes.
Last year's show was held just a fortnight before COVID-19 government restrictions came into force but show president Suzie Coventry said this year there was a lot of extra work involved to meet the requirements of their COVID-19 plan.
She said it had been well worth it though with the fantastic turn out of 3000 people coming through the gates on Saturday and positive feedback for their 111th show.
"The committee should be so proud of what we have managed to achieve," she said.
"We could have pulled the pin six weeks ago but we were determined to do whatever we had to do to make it happen.
"For years the community has probably taken for granted there is always a show but this year we needed help and everyone stepped up, the Tatiara District Council was a big help and then we had groups like Keith Diesel & Dirt Derby and the (Bordertown) Rifle Club help out as COVID marshals."
