It was a busy day for many on day three of Stock Journal Beef Week with 21 studs opening their gates across a large geographical area stretching from north of Naracoorte to across the SA-Vic border near Casterton.
Many studs reported their best ever interest with exceptional prices for cattle encouraging breeders from across SA and into Vic to view the top quality line-ups for upcoming sales and identify herd improving sires.
There were also strong sales made on the day.
Beef Week will conclude in the Upper South East tomorrow (Tuesday) after successful days in the Mid North last Friday and the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula and Loxton area on Sunday.
Across the four days 57 studs have participated in 2021 Beef Week, representing 11 breeds.
