SA's Mid North studs braved the wild and windy weather on day one of the Stock Journal Beef Week but visitors were not deterred by the conditions, showing plenty of support for the beef cattle studs that took part.
Studs from Jamestown, Clare, Korunye and Kapunda opened their gates to let visitors view their finest bulls, heifers and cows.
For the first time, Aruma Limousin at Korunye, near Mallala, joined in on the fun this year and young co-principal Pheobe Eckermann was pleased with the support from local visitors.
There will be 57 studs representing 11 different breeds across the four days.
The Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula and Loxton areas on Sunday, February 7, Lower South East studs will be open Monday, February 8, and the Upper South East will complete Beef Week on Tuesday, February 9. Studs will be open from 9am until 4pm for inspections.
Stock Journal's VANESSA BINKS was on the road today and captured the action.
