A LARGE crowd turned out to see a sale that was "solid from start to finish" at the Mount Pleasant weaner and store cattle sale on Thursday.
Nutrien Fawcett Livestock's Colin Fawcett said the values were strong throughout, in line with other sales across the state.
"Generally lightweight cattle were extremely strong," he said.
"But the feedlot (suitable) ones were also solid."
He said weights were a little higher than in recent years for the sale but cattle were also coming off a better season.
""It was pleasing to see such a large crowd of registered bidders," he said.
G&JR Koopman, Charleston, sold three, 530 kilogram Murray Grey steers at $2040 or $3.85/kg.
Brown Farming Enterprise, Keyneton, offered six, 455kg Angus, which sold at $1960 or $4.31/kg.
KV&HL Roesler, Eden Valley, sold four, 444kg Murray Greys at $1920 or $4.32/kg, while a single 517kg Angus steers from FK&A Dorr, Birdwood, also made $1920 or $3.71/kg.
AJK Pastoral, Myponga, sold nine, 419kg Poll Herefords at $1900 or $4.53/kg.
McCarthy Pastoral, Mount Crawford, had nine, 438kg Angus make $1880 or $4.29/kg.
Regari Pty Ltd, Tanunda, sold eight, 309kg Angus at $1500 or $4.85/kg.
Brown Farming Enterprises sold seven, 289kg Angus at $1440 or $4.98/kg.
Broad Family Trust, Angaston, had 12 Poll Hereford steers, 280kg, make $1420 or $5.07/kg.
Four Angus steers, 213kg, from L&M Young sold at $1210 or $5.68/kg.
Among the heifer weaners, the top price was paid for five Poll Herefords from AJK Pastoral, 374kg, which sold at $1580 or $4.22/kg.
McCarthy Pastoral sold 23 Angus heifers, 382kg, also at $1580 or $4.13/kg.
Belmont Proprietors, Springton, sold three Angus, 374kg, at $1500 or $4.61/kg.
VK&AM Mueller, Birdwood, as part of a complete dispersal, offered eight Murray Greys, 356kg, which sold at $1500 or $4.21/kg.
Muellers also sold six, 275kg, at $1330 or $4.72/kg.
Brown Farming sold five Angus, 270kg, at $1350 or $5/kg.
Regari Pty Ltd had six, 262kg Angus at $1260 or $4.81/kg.

A run of seven Angus pregnancy-tested in-calf heifers from JP South, Dutton, made $2300.
Laidley Pastoral Co, Mount Crawford, offered four PTIC Angus heifers, which made $2280, and three PTIC Murray Grey heifers, which sold at $2100.
VK&AM Mueller continued their dispersal with 12 Murray Grey cows, PTIC to a Murray Grey bull, which made $2140, while another five made $1980.
They also offered six Murray Grey cows, which made $2100.
G&A Gum, Springton, sold two Murray Grey cows with calves at-foot at $2460 while GD Wicks & Sons, Kenton Valley, sold a Murray Grey cow with CAF for $2420.
RS&SM Cox, Palmer, sold a Murray Grey cow with CAF at $2740.
