The BigBaler 1290 High Density baler and Konzept tractor have won prestigious international good design awards for brands New Holland and Steyr and their parent company, CNH International.
The baler and tractor were among the winners of the 2020 Good Design Awards in the industrial category.
The long-running awards are hosted by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture, Art Design and Urban Studies.
Judged by an international jury panel of design professionals, leading industry specialists, design journalists and critics, the awards have 29 categories including electronics, household wares, medicine and textiles.
The BigBaler 1290 High Density baler is manufactured in New Holland Agriculture's plant in Zedelgem in Belgium.
The machine has already been awarded an Agritechnica Silver Innovation Medal and a Machine of the Year 2020 award.
New Holland brand president Carlo Lambro said the company was honoured to receive the award.
"The BigBaler 1290 High Density is a winning example of how the collaboration between the CNH Industrial design team and our product engineering teams enable New Holland to keep raising the bar on performance to the advantages of our customers," he said.

CNH Industrial design director David Wilkie said the design vision for the BigBaler 1290 High Density had been inspired by the flowing lines of crops as they sway in the fields.
"The New Holland BigBaler 1290 High Density is designed for delivering all-out efficiency and productivity. It produces bales of up to 22 per cent higher density than conventional large square balers, significantly increasing transport and bale handling efficiency," he said.
The machine features patented Loop Master knotting technology to eliminate twine offcuts.
The range is also equipped with the SmartShift gearbox, winner of an Agritechnica Silver Innovation Medal.
A range of automated features such as IntelliCruise technology which automatically adjusts tractor speed in relation to crop throughput are aimed at improving productivity.
The Steyr Konzept tractor features radical styling and forward-thinking technology including an innovative hybrid power system combining a conventional engine, a generator and electric drives.
It was the only tractor among the final award winners.
The Steyr Konzept was designed in conjunction with powertrain specialist FPT, a sister brand of Steyr under parent company CNH Industrial.
"The futuristic lines of the Konzept's external styling recognise the importance in agricultural machinery of both trusted brand heritage and forward-thinking design," CNH Industrial's Mr Wilkie said.
"At the same time, the white external cab frame and asymmetric grille recall Steyr's long history as a stylish high-end tractor brand. Our ultimate aim, though, was to create striking elements of style that, when combined with the designs of our engineers, also bring practical benefits in areas ranging from performance to visibility to sustainability."
The Konzept has a modular hybrid electric drive combining a conventional four-cylinder diesel engine, generator and individual electric wheel motors.
This allows different power sources to be used depending on application. As a result, the tractor can be operated with zero noise and exhaust emissions.
