Langhorne Creek-based Small World Bakery has been named among 17 national major winners in the 2020 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards, announced this week.
The award, for Outstanding Artisan, is one of several picked up by SA producers, including two more trophy wins and some gold medals.
Small World Bakery, owned by Emily Salkeld and Chris Duffy, operate out of Langhorne Creek, with deliveries into Adelaide, and have a focus on ancient techniques and heritage grains in their baking process.
Also gaining a national trophy is Prue Henschke, Henschke Wines, Keyneton, for Outstanding Viticulturalist, while Topiary chef Kane Pollard, Tea Tree Gully, won the Unearthed Next-Gen Chef.
The awards, now in its 15th year, celebrates the nation's ingredients with winners across four categories - From the Dairy, From the Earth, From the Paddock and From the Sea.

"Following drought, bushfires, flood, then scaling back production due to Covid-19, there's never been a more important time to acknowledge just how hard Australian farmers, fishermen and artisans work at their craft," she said.
"Congratulations to all of our winners who delivered outstanding produce for this year's judging."
With the pandemic, there was a shift in the way the awards were celebrated, including virtual events.
SA producers also were recognised among the gold medallists.
The Dairyman Barossa Artisan Farm Cream, Lyndoch, was honoured in the dairy category.
Ngeringa Produce Biodynamic Salad Greens, Mount Barker, and Singing Magpie Produce Black Genoa Semi Sun Dried Figs in the Riverland, were named in the earth category.
Mayura Station Signature Series, Millicent, and Nomad Farms Nomadic Pastured Heritage Chook, Finniss, were among the medallists from the paddock.
Ausab Yumbah Greenlip Abalone, Goolwa PipiCo Live & Fresh, De-sanded and Ready toCook Pipis, Kinkawooka Mussels,Port Lincoln and Two Gulfs Crab Blue Swimmer Crab Meat were included in the sea winners.
