The record books were rewritten at Paramount White Suffolks' 10th annual sale at Kersbrook on Tuesday, with the stud achieving its first ever full clearance, and also reaching new heights with their top price and average.
Overall, all 46 rams on offer were cleared, to a top price of $2200 and averaging $1247 - more than $200 better than last year's average of $1011.
Topping the sale was lot 2, a 120-kilogram sire knocked down to Dopen Pty Ltd, Rockleigh.
It had Australian Sheep Breeding Values of 0.64 for birth weight, 12.3 for weaning weight, 19.1 for post weaning weight, PW fat of -1.4, PW eye muscle depth of 19.1, and a Total Carcase Production index of 150.1.

A number of repeat volume buyers helped to buoy the sale, including Jilaine Investments, Mount Torrens, securing five rams to $2100 averaging $1700, while AB&KD Newman, Tungkillo, secured six to $1300, averaging $1250.
Five sires were knocked down to Tullabrin Pastoral, Forreston, which bought to $1500 and averaged $1400 while CP&KL Koch, Angaston, secured four rams to $1300, averaging $1075. DM&SM Schirmer, Cambrai, also bought four, to a top of $1200, averaging $1025.
Stud principal Robert MacDonald described the result as "unbelievable", and was very happy with the buying gallery, which was made up of a number of regular buyers as well as some new faces.
The sale was conducted by Nutrien Fawcett, Mt Pleasant, with Nutrien stud stock's Leo Redden carrying out the auctioneering duties.
