A TOP price of $3200 was achieved twice at this year's Glen Holme Dohne sale, in another strong result for the Manoora stud.
At their 10th annual on-property auction, the Kelly family offered 96 Dohne rams, selling 79 at an average of $1585, up $21 on last year.
The first ram to reach the $3200 price tag was lot 62, bought by Darren O'Brien, Kyancutta.
The ram was a son of Glen Holme 162503 and had a Dohne Plus index of 175.9, a post-weaning eye muscle depth figure of 1.56, yearling clean fleece weight of 18.5 - figures that are all in the top 10 per cent for the breed - and a yearling staple length of 4.98, which is in the top 20pc.
Operating through family in SA, Vic buyer DJ Rich, Serviceton, bought the other equal-top price ram, lot 85, sired by another Glen Holme ram 174098.
This $3200 ram had a Dohne Plus index of 175.2, with a PEMD of 1.7 - both in the top 10pc of the breed - a YCFW of 11.61 and YSL of 3.45.
Volume buyers the Hawthorne family, Pinnaroo, took home 11 rams averaging $1354, while the Sherriff family, Keith, secured eight rams averaging $1700.

Mardango Props, Keith, was also successful on seven lots, averaging $1042, while Kernchen and Co, Saddleworth, also bought seven averaging $1228, and Indoota Pastoral, Riverton, took home five at $1960.
Glen Holme principal Allen Kelly said the large volume of data presented to clients enabled them to select and buy with confidence.
"For instance, the average Dohne Plus index across the 96 rams was 159.4, with only 21 rams below the 50 percentile of 147.5, and the highest ram's index offered was 204.6," he said.
"Despite the bodyweights being up to 120 kilograms on the rams, the highest prices were achieved for rams weighing 89.8kg and 81.6kg - Glen Holme recognise that modest bodyweight sheep can be genetically superior whilst also being easier and safer to handle."
The Kelly family also offered 137 commercial Dohne ewe hoggets at the sale. All were sold, with 107 topping at $250.
Selling agents were Nutrien Ag Solutions and Australian Wool Network, with Leo Redden from Nutrien holding the gavel.
