Crossbred lambs to $153
PRICES at the third Murray Bridge prime and store lamb market on Monday were described as "fully firm", with store and light trade lambs in particularly good demand.
Nutrien Murray Bridge livestock agent Kevin Keller said good quality fresh lambs sold well, with prices on par with expectations.
Elders Murray Bridge livestock agent Scott Eichler said processor support was strong, with JBS present on the market's rails for the first time this year.
"Buying support was mainly from processors, although Nampara Pastoral Company were also strong, they bought about 850 good store lambs," he said.
Topping the sale was a pen of 29 lambs from GA&GW Becker, Nuriootpa, which sold to JBS for $153, while JS&JG Krause, Mannum, sold 91 at $150, also to JBS.
BE Launer, Murray Bridge, sold 4 to TFI at $148, while KD,ED,JC&MV Harvey, Woodchester, made $147 for 107 sold to Midfield, and sold another 68 at $137, going to Nampara.
AW Horstmann, Millendella, sold 29 to TFI at $146, and another 78 at $142.

Murray Dolan, Harrogate, sold 36, knocked down to Midfield at $146.
A pen of 16 from Inglebrae Holdings, Callington, were knocked down at $142. The same price was made for 34 from RN&LA Bald and Sons, Ettrick, bought by ALC, with the same vendor selling 98 at $129 and 27 at $122.
JA&SK Smith, Wynarka, offered 364 crossbred lambs, and sold 51 at $140, as well as another 28 at $136, 82 at $134, 114 at $130, 32 at $121, and 57 at $110.
GR Tynan, Yumali, had 20 knocked down to ALC, at $140, with the same price also made for 282 from DF&GW Helyar,Murray Bridge, 146 from Clemara Trading, Marama, and 72 from L Watts, Rockleigh.
A pen of 96 from DW Kubenk and Sons, Tepko, made $139, sold to Midfield.
RG&TA Henschke, Mount Pleasant, sold 127 to Nampara at $138, as well as another 96 at $136, also to Nampara, and 19 at $120, knocked down to Midfield.
