THE Grosser family were pleased to sell 34 rams from 46 offered at their Narcoota ram sale in Eudunda on Thursday last week, for an average price of $1052 - a $161 increase on the 2019 sale.
This year, lot 1 made the equal sale top price of $2000 purchased by return clients SJ&TD Strauss, Mannum.
This ram weighed 112 kilograms and had an attractive fleece testing 18.8 micron.
The same price was paid by Nelson Lewis for the first of the June-drop rams, which had a fleece weight that was 20 per cent above the flock mean and a fibre diameter of 20.2M.
Three largest volume buyers were the Jaeger Family Trust, Eudunda; the Sobey family of Blanchetown; and PJ Lee of Kulkami. Each of these businesses purchased five rams.
A further five rams sold following the sale.
Nutrien Pfitzner & Kleinig conducted the sale, with Glen Keast as the auctioneer.
