THOSE keen to shape the future of dairy in SA, with input into research and extension, are urged to put their names forward for the DairySA Board.
Nominations are being accepted for an Independent Director and a Dairyfarmer Director.
Dairyfarmers with an interest in developing leadership skills and contributing to future research, development and extension, and independeing providers with skills in agribusiness are encouraged to apply.
The DairySA Board is responsible for deciding on and directing funding to regionally relevant research and development, contributing to an increase in the profitability and sustainability of the state's dairy industry.
The DairySA Board is made up of farmer directors, a representative from the milk processors and independent skills-based directors, totalling 11 people.
The board meets bi-monthly, usually at a central location, and sometimes online.
Two vacancies exist for terms that will run from October 2020 to October 2022.
